This particular eye camp was held in a local monastery where a team of 4 doctors, 2 nurses and a local doctor assisted. The team travelled over 2 days by air and land to reach the remote village. The camp was held for 10 days in total working with people of all ages to restore their sight. Working in hot temperatures and for long days, the team strived to attend to all of the people who made the journey. Although many were seen to it was also important to ensure that the local doctors were trained so that the work from the eye camp could continue long after the team left. This international experience left a lasting legacy on the local doctors and people of the town.
